Adela Cepeda

President, A.C. Advisory, Inc.

Adela Cepeda, was appointed to the Public Building Commission of Chicago on February 26, 1992, representing the City of Chicago.

Cepeda has been a finance specialist since 1980, structuring and executing transactions in the capital markets for corporations and municipalities. In 1995, she created Chicago-based A.C. Advisory, Inc., a firm that develops financing and investment strategies for municipal clients, including the City of Chicago, Cook County and O'Hare and Midway airports. Since 1996, A.C. Advisory has been ranked as one of the top three financial advisors in Illinois and. In 2005 A.C. Advisory became one of the top 10 financial advisors in the nation. Also in 2005, Cepeda founded a full service broker dealer, Alta Capital Group, LLC., which is focused on the municipal markets.

Cepeda is a board member of Amalgamated Bank of Chicago and two families of mutual funds. She also previously chaired the audit committee of the board of Wyndham International Inc., which owned and operated hotels and resorts in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Cepeda serves on the boards of Window to the World Communications, Inc., (WTTW-Channel 11), the Ravinia Fesitval Association and the Chicago Community Trust.

An honors graduate of Harvard College with a major in Economics, Cepeda has an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago School of Business.
