Cynthia M. Santos

Commissioner, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago

A member of the Public Building Commissions Board of Commissioners since 1999, Cynthia Santos, has served on the Metropolitan Water Reclamation Districts board since 1996. She is the chairman of districts Committee on Budget and Employment and its Committee on Labor and Industrial Relations.

Commissioner Santos has been active in local politics for many years, and currently serves on the state Democratic Central Committee. She also is the Committeewoman of the 5th Congressional District of Illinois. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago, she belongs to a number of civic organizations and is a licensed real estate agent and appraiser.

Commissioner Santos lives on the Northwest Side of Chicago with her family.
