PBC Board Approves Architect For New Little Village High School

A team was named architect of record for the new Little Village high school, officials of the Public Building Commission of Chicago (PBC) said today.

Gonzalez Hasbrouck and Guajardo Associates, both certified minority business enterprises, will provide architectural services for the high school project under a $1.4 million contract approved by the PBC Board. The new school will be built at 31st Street and Kostner Avenue. Plans call for expanded classroom space, updated computer and science labs, libraries and gymnasiums at the sites, officials said.

The PBC designs and builds new schools and improves existing facilities for the public schools. It currently manages about $160 million of the schools' development program, PBC officials said. Mayor Richard M. Daley chairs the PBC.
