How To Apply for Skill Builders |
To apply to the Skill Builders program, visit any of the application intake centers listed below during their regular weekday hours of operation B 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
You will need to have the following items to apply to the program:
- valid driver's license or state ID card showing Chicago residency
- Social Security card
- birth certificate
- high school diploma or GED certificate, if achieved
- copy of final high school transcript, even if not a graduate
This free program is open to anyone who meets the following requirements:
- Chicago resident
- at least 18 years of age
- minimum 2 years of high school
- passing a reading and math test showing a minimum eighth-grade ability
- passing a general physical exam
