The Public Building Commission of Chicago has invited eligible, PBC Class A prequalified firms to rebid the renovations to the Lake View High School PBC Contract C1583R located at 4015 N. Ashland Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, 60613. Renovation activities for the Base Scope of Work may include, but not be limited to: roof replacement; partial building tuck-pointing and targeted masonry rebuild; monumental signage; renovated cafeteria, kitchen and serving line; renovated main (competition) gymnasium; restroom renovations; locker replacement; corridor flooring replacement; classroom finish flooring and building interior painting and finishes.

On Friday, September 15, 2017, at Lake View High School, the Commission will host a Pre-Bid Meeting at 10:00 a.m., Mandatory Technical Review Meeting at 10:30 a.m., and Mandatory Site Visit (walk-through of the facility) at 11:00 a.m. The Technical Review Meeting and Site Visit are mandatory for all prequalified firms interested in submitting a bid for this Project.
All activities mentioned above are to occur at the school, located at 4015 N. Ashland. Enter through Door 6 (just north of Irving Park on Ashland Avenue) and proceed to the Auditorium. Parking in school’s Parking Lot is prohibited. All Mandatory Technical Review Meeting and Site Visit attendees must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or, at minimum, must have safety vest, closed-toe shoes, and a flashlight. Persons without the necessary PPE will not be permitted to walk the site.
Subcontractors and suppliers are invited to attend the Pre- Bid Meeting and stay for the following activities to meet the prequalified contractors bidding on this Project. The sign-in sheets for the above-mentioned meetings will be posted to the PBC’s website.
Sealed bids shall be received at the Public Building Commission, Richard J. Daley Center, 50 West Washington, Room 200, until 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at which time they will be publicly opened.
