The following Head Start Facilities are included: Chicago Commons Association, 1633 North Hamlin Chicago Youth Centers, 3415 West 13th Place Marcy-Newberry Association, 1537 South Springfield Chicago Commons Association, 1814 South Paulina Marcy-Newberry Association, 1339 South Pulaski Ada S. McKinley Association, 7222 South Exchange South Chicago YMCA, 8902 South Brandon Boys and Girls Club, 2850 West Washington City Colleges/Kennedy-King College, 6800 South Wentworth Lutheran Social Services, 1500 North Mason St. Augustine College, 3401 West McLean All Nations Development Center, 8435 South Stony Island Salvation Army Emergency Lodge, 4800 North Marine Drive First Church of Love and Faith, 2141 West 79th Street, Chase House Kingdom Head Start, 301 North Central

Bid Opening: Sealed bids, subject to the conditions contained herein and in the Contract Documents will be received by the Public Building Commission of Chicago until 11:00 a.m. on April 16, 2002 at Room 200, Richard J. Daley Center, 50 West Washington Street, and then and there publicly opened for Playground Equipment Supply and Installation and Miscellaneous Site Work.

Pre-Bid Meeting: A pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in the 2nd Floor Board Room, Richard J. Daley Center, 50 West Washington. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is strongly encouraged for all proposers. When attending a meeting in the Daley Center allow for extra time to pass through the building’s security screening.

Contract Documents: Copies of the forms of Contract Documents including the Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Special Conditions and Specifications are on file at d’Escoto, Inc., 125 South Clark and may be obtained there on request. A maximum of two copies of complete Bid Documents may be obtained by depositing $0.00 for each set. Additional sets of complete Bid Documents may be obtained through d’Escoto, Inc. at the contractor’s own expence, which amount will not be refundable. Certified or cashier’s checks or money orders are required and must be made payable to the Public Building Commission of Chicago.

Bid Guarantee: A certified check, cashier check or bid bond for $40,000 payable to the Public Building Commission of Chicago shall be submitted with each bid, as a bid gurantee.

MBE/WBE Participation:Attention is called to special conditions specifying that a percentage of the work be performed by Minority-owned and Women-owned Business Enterprises and the award criteria provision for utilizing minorities and women in the project work force and residency requirements.
