Marshall Metro High School Campus Park

The Campus Park site improvement is a 10.3 acre site. The existing vacant lots and tennis courts will be demolished in order to provide an open field with green space at the site. Multiple streets (Spaulding Ave., Fifth Ave., Monroe Ave., and Adams St.)surrounding the school will be closed/vacated.

The campus park will consist of the following amenities:

  • Landscaping with shade trees,
  • Multi-purpose field for football or soccer,
  • Softball field,
  • Arboretum,
  • Ornamental lighting,
  • Ornamental fencing,
  • Benches and
  • Trash receptacles.

Along with the site improvement, the existing parking lot at the north end of the school will be demolished and reconfigured for additional parking stalls. The site will have have an additional parking lot at the south end of the school.

Bontemps School Campus Park

The Campus Park site improvement is a 2.6 acre site. The old playground equipment set, the existing asphalt surface and the street closure of Elizabeth Street will be demolished in order to provide an open field with green space at the site. It will consist of the following amenities:

  • Landscaping with shade trees,
  • Flood lighting,
  • Ornamental fencing,
  • Benches,
  • Trash receptacles,
  • Playground equipment for ages 2-5
  • Playground equipment for ages 5-12, and
  • 2 full basketball courts with basketball hoops.

Along with the site improvement, the existing parking lot will be resurfaced.

O.A. Thorp School Campus Park

The Campus Park site improvement is a 3.1 acre site. The existing asphalt surface will be demolished in order to provide an open field with green space at the site. It will consist of the following amenities:

  • Landscaping with shade trees,
  • Trash compactor,
  • Ornamental lighting,
  • Ornamental fencing,
  • Benches and
  • Trash receptacles.

Graeme Stewart Campus Park

The Campus Park site improvement is a 1.8 acre site. The old playground equipment set, the existing asphalt surface and the street closure of Kenmore Street will be demolished in order to provide an open field with green space at the site. It will consist of the following amenities:

  • Artificial turf,
  • Landscaping with shade trees,
  • Playground equipment for ages 2-5
  • Playground equipment for ages 5-12,
  • Trash compactor,
  • Ornamental lighting,
  • Ornamental fencing,
  • Benches and
  • Trash receptacles.

Charles Wacker Campus Park

The Campus Park site improvement is a 0.85 acre site. The old playground equipment set and the existing asphalt surface will be demolished in order to provide an open field with green space at the site. It will consist of the following amenities:

  • Landscaping with shade trees,
  • Playground equipment for ages 2-5
  • Playground equipment for ages 5-12,
  • Trash compactor,
  • Box lighting,
  • Ornamental fencing,
  • Benches and
  • Trash receptacles.

Along with the site improvement, the existing parking lot will be demolished and reconfigured in order to provide additional parking stalls.

Frank I. Bennett School Campus Park

The PBC opened this 1.2 acre site in 2008. A Fieldhouse and existing asphalt surface were demolished to provide an open field with green space at the site. It consists of the following amenities:

  • Asphalt running track,
  • Landscaping with shade trees,
  • Trash compactor,
  • Ornamental lighting,
  • Ornamental fencing,
  • Benches and
  • Trash receptacles.

Thomas Drummond School Campus Park

This 2008 Campus Park is a 0.53 acre site. The existing asphalt surface was demolished to provide an open field with green space at the site. This Campus Park provides the following amenities:

  • Open grass field
  • Shade trees,
  • Trash compactor,
  • Ornamental lighting,
  • Ornamental fencing and
  • Trash receptacles.

Along with the site improvement, the existing parking lot was demolished and reconfigured to provide 23 parking spaces adjacent to the green space.

Christopher Columbus School Campus Park

The Campus Park site improvement is a 0.68 acre site. Site improvements include a multi-purpose artificial turf recreation area, a paved walkway path, ornamental lighting, park benches, a trash compactor, and landscaping.

Wolfgang A. Mozart School Campus Park

Mayor Richard M. Daley, along with community members, officially dedicated the new campus park October 17, 2007.

The campus park includes:

  • Two sets of playground equipment with rubberized ground surface — one set for children ages 2 to 5 and another for children ages 5 to 12;
  • New landscaping with bushes and shrubs;
  • New open space;
  • Fencing for safety;
  • A trash compactor and
  • Additional parking

Mount Vernon School Campus Park

The park is adjacent to the school’s north side. The 98,000-square foot park includes trees, shrubs, ground cover, and perennial plantings, site furniture, a trash compactor, a walking trail and ornamental lighting.
